After breakfast at your hotel, your Egyptologist guide will meet you to begin a full-day tour dedicated to two of Egypt’s most extraordinary attractions: the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Pyramids of Giza.

Your morning starts with a visit to the spectacular Grand Egyptian Museum, the world’s largest archaeological museum complex and the newest cultural landmark in Egypt. The museum houses thousands of ancient artifacts, including monumental statues, royal treasures, sarcophagi, and objects covering Egypt’s ancient history from pre-dynastic times to the Greco-Roman period. One of the major highlights inside the museum is the complete collection of King Tutankhamun’s belongings, displayed together for the first time since their discovery. Your guide will walk you through key halls, explaining the architectural design of the museum, important pieces on display, and the stories behind Egypt’s greatest rulers and religious foundations.

After exploring the Grand Museum, enjoy a short break or lunch time (optional), then continue your journey to the legendary Pyramids of Giza. On arrival, you will stand before Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos—the three monumental pyramids that form one of the most iconic archaeological sites on earth. Admire their towering size, geometric design, and extraordinary precision. You will have the chance to walk around the plateau, take unforgettable photographs, and—if you wish—enter the interior of one of the pyramids (optional ticket required).

Your tour also includes a close visit to the timeless Great Sphinx, a monumental sculpture carved from a single limestone block, guarding the funerary complex for more than 4,500 years. Your guide will explain how scholars interpret the symbolic meaning of the lion body and royal head, and how it has captivated historians for centuries.

At the end of your sightseeing day, you will be transferred comfortably back to your hotel, with the rest of the evening free at leisure.

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up for a journey to Alexandria, located approximately three hours from Cairo. This Mediterranean city offers a very different atmosphere from Egypt’s capital, balancing Greco-Roman history with seaside architecture and royal gardens.

Your first visit is to the Library of Alexandria, historically acknowledged as the largest library in the ancient world. Today, the modern library complex hosts around eight million books. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to explore museums, exhibitions, and architectural elements. The library closes on Fridays and on Egyptian public holidays, and entrance into the main reading hall requires a separate ticket.

Next, you will proceed to the site of the ancient lighthouse, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The structure once guided ships into Alexandria’s harbor and was considered a feat of ancient engineering. Today, the Qaitbey Citadel stands in its place, offering picturesque views and architectural beauty.

Your journey continues toward the royal gardens of King Farouk, the last king of Egypt. These sprawling gardens once contained palaces, private beaches, and recreation areas for the royal family.

Then, you will visit Abbo Elabbas Mosque, admired for its size and architectural style. Nearby stands the memorial of the Unknown Soldier and a statue of Alexander the Great himself. The tour may then include a visit to St. Mark’s Church, known as the oldest church in Africa.

The Corniche drive follows, offering scenic coastline views across more than thirty kilometers. Along this road, your guide will point out archaeological underwater discoveries, including monuments found in the ancient harbor. You will pass by Stanley Bridge, a modern cultural symbol of Alexandria, before reaching the downtown district. Here you may walk through the old streets, admire Mediterranean cafés, and explore local shops.
